This post is concerned with an interpretation of a passage at the end of Part I, Volume 1 of Capital dealing with the reproduction of labor-power. My goal is to offer a reading of this passage that is slightly different from what might be (or at least what I take to be) the orthodox reading, but which has significant downstream effects if correct.
